Since 2009

Welcome to B.A.R.

After several years in fine dining, the idea grew for a restaurant where the lines between kitchen and dining room could be blurred – a place where high gastronomic quality meets personal service, a close-knit atmosphere and really good ingredients, without it needing to be complicated.

Since opening in 2009, B.A.R. has been a lively meeting place in the heart of Stockholm. In a modern, industrial and New York-inspired setting, market hall, restaurant and sea grill come together. Here the ingredient always takes centre stage and the experience should feel as natural as it is relaxed.

The visit begins in our market hall, where the day's selection of fresh fish, shellfish and meat is on display. Choose your ingredient, which is then cooked straight on the grill, and combine it with seasonal vegetables, sauces and sides. Build your plate exactly as you like – or choose one of our ready-made combinations.

The menu follows the seasons and the day's catch, which means the range keeps changing. We believe in letting the ingredient speak for itself: serving it when it is at its very best and cooking it with great respect for flavour, quality and origin.

B.A.R. is a timeless meeting place for friends, colleagues and new acquaintances. A lively and relaxed bistro where gastronomy and personal service meet warmth and a close-knit feel.
